03.07.06 @5pm-Disappointing news for Yannick & Mark onboard Southbound.ie. After gaining a good lead in the 2- handed class, they suffered gear failure off the Kerry coast and reluctantly have to retire from the Race. The lads are currently en route to their home port of Dingle for repairs before making the journey back to Brest, France with their boat, chartered for the duration of the Race. 01.07.06 39 boats started the Round Ireland Race in Wicklow at 15.50. Southbound.ie had a very good start and can be tracked for the duration of the race [ click here ]
